Thandai

Ingredients

  • Almonds – 8
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Fennel seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Black pepper corn – 10
  • Melon seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Dry rose petals – 1 teaspoon
  • Milk – 1 glass
  • Poppy seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Sugar to taste
  • Saffron (Optional)

Method

1. Soak almonds, poppy seeds, cardamom, fennel seeds, black peppercorn, melon seeds, dry rose petals and saffron in a bowl for 5 to 6 hours.

2. Once they are soaked, do not throw the water, they were soaked in.

3. Grind the mixture till a fine paste is obtained.

4. Add ½ a glass of the kept water to the paste and strain it.

5. Add sugar and milk.

6. Chill in the refrigerator.

7. Garnish with almond slivers and saffron before serving.
