Malpua

Ingredients

  • Malai – 1 cup
  • Refined flour – 1 cup
  • Crushed cardamom – 2
  • Sugar – ¾ cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Milk as needed
  • Saffron (Optional)

Method

1. Mix malai and flour in a bowl.

2. Add cardamom to the mixture.

3. Add milk till you obtain a pancake-like consistency.

4. Heat a non-stick pan.

5. Pour some mixture on it.

6. Do not apply ghee or oil.

7. Cook it from both sides.

8. The malpua is ready but still tasteless.

9. Make sugar syrup using sugar and water.

10. You can add saffron to the sugar syrup.

11. Add some cardamon powder to the syrup.

12. Soak the malpua in the syrup.

13. Arrange the soaked malpuas on a serving dish.

14. Spread some almonds and pistas over them.

15. Serve hot.
