Instant Dhokla

Ingredients

  • Cream of wheat – 2 cups
  • Milk – 2 cups
  • Salt – To taste
  • Fresh plain yogurt – 2 cups
  • Green chilli paste – 3 tablespoons
  • Cilantro leaves – ½ cup
  • Baking soda – 1 teaspoon

Method

1. Sift the cream of wheat.

2. Add plain yogurt and milk to it.

3. Mix well to form a batter.

4. Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes.

5. Add chopped cilantro leaves, green chilli paste and salt.

6. Beat the batter.

7. Add a little oil and 2 tablespoons of warm water to the batter.

8. Beat it again.

9. Boil water in a pot.

10. Place a trivet in it.

11. Grease a plate.

12. Pour the batter on it.

13. Put the plate on the trivet.

14. Steam for 20 minutes.

15. Take out the dhokla and cut it into pieces.

16. Serve with chutney.
