Raw Banana Cutlet

Ingredients

  • Peas – 100 grams
  • Raw bananas – 6
  • Grated coconut – 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1 cup
  • Green chilli paste – 1 teaspoon
  • Corn meal powder – ½ cup
  • Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons
  • Raisins – 15
  • Sugar – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – To taste

Method

Cutlet balls:

1. Boil the bananas and peas in a pressure cooker.

2. Peel the boiled bananas.

3. Mash them with the peas.

4. Add salt and cornmeal powder.

5. Knead the mixture to make the dough.

6. Divide it into equal-sized balls.

Filling:

7. Mix green chilli paste, grated coconut, salt, sugar, lemon juice, raisins, and coriander leaves.

8. Divide this mixture into equal parts for the filling.

Cutlet preparation:

9. Flatten a banana-pea ball between the palms.

10. Press filling in the centre.

11. Round up the ball around the filling.

12. Then, flatten it to form a patty.

13. Deep fry in the warm oil.

14. Serve with tomato ketchup or chutney.
