Raita (Boondi)

Ingredients

  • Boondi – ¾ cup
  • Curd – 2 cups
  • Sugar – ¾ teaspoon
  • Coriander leaves
  • Raita Masala:
    • Salt – 1 tablespoon
    • Roasted cumin seeds – 1 tablespoon
    • Black salt – 1 tablespoon
    • Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon (optional)

Method

Raita masala:

1. Coarsely ground the cumin seeds.

2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.

3. Store in a refrigerator.

Raita:

4. Soak boondi in lukewarm water for 5 minutes.

5. Churn the curd along with sugar and 2 tablespoons of water.

6. Squeeze the boondi and add it to the curd.

7. Add raita masala and garnish with coriander leaves.

8. Serve chilled.
