Aloo Paneer Tikki

Ingredients

  • Ghee – 3 tablespoons
  • Potatoes – 3 (boiled and mashed)
  • Finely chopped onion – 1 (optional)
  • Grated paneer – 100 grams
  • Steamed green peas – ¾ cup (optional)
  • Instant cooking oats – ½ cup (ground into powder)
  • Finely chopped green chillies – 2
  • Chaat masala powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Grated ginger – 1-inch piece
  • Chopped coriander – 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Chilli powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste

Method

1. Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, except the ghee.

2. Lightly mash the green peas while mixing.

3. Check the salt and spice levels.

4. Divide the mixture into equal-sized portions.

5. Shape them into ½-inch thick discs.

6. Heat ghee in a large skillet or pan.

7. Shallow fry the tikkis for 10 minutes on each side till they are golden brown and cooked through.

8. Sprinkle the tikkis with more chaat masala.

9. Garnish with chopped coriander.

10. Serve hot.
