Colocasia Leaf Fritters

Ingredients

  • Colocasia leaves – 9
  • Gram flour – 200 grams
  • Wheat flour – 50 grams
  • Ajwain seeds – ½ teaspoon
  • Baking soda – 1 pinch
  • Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Asafoetida – 1 pinch
  • Garam masala – ½ teaspoon
  • Ginger paste – ½ teaspoon
  • Green chilli paste – ½ teaspoon
  • Lemon – 1
  • Powdered sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Green coriander leaves

Method

1. In a bowl, mix everything except colocasia leaves.

2. Wash the colocasia lives thoroughly.

3. Take a leaf and apply some gram flour paste on one side.

4. Put another leaf over the first one.

5. Apply gram flour paste on it and put the third leaf over it.

6. Now make a roll of these three leaves.

7. Tie the roll with a cotton thread.

8. Make two more rolls out of the six remaining leaves.

9. Steam them for 10 minutes.

10. Let them cool down.

11. Cut them in roundals.

12. Now you can either fry them or temper them with rai and curry leaves tadka.

13. Serve hot.
