Ingredients
- Dates – 1½ cups
- Lemon juice – ½ teaspoon
- Sweet and sour masala – 7 teaspoons
- Ingredients for sweet and sour masala
- Black pepper (crushed) – ½ teaspoon
- Roasted and crushed cumin seeds – ¾ teaspoon
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Black salt – ½ teaspoon
- Raw and crushed carom seeds – ½ teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon
- Powdered sugar – 5 teaspoons
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients of masala in a bowl.
2. Cut the dates in small pieces.
3. Add these pieces to the masala and add the lemon juice.
4. Mix well.
5. Leave for 2 days.
6. Store in a glass container.
