Ingredients
- Round brinjal – 1
- Paneer – 100 to 150 grams
- Shredded cheese – 1 cup
- Salt – To taste
- Red chilli powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped tomato – 1
- Chopped onion – 1
- Chopped green chilli – 1
- Chaat masala – ¾ teaspoon
- For marination:
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder – ¾ teaspoon
- Chaat masala – 1 teaspoon
- Lemon – 1
- Mustard oil – 1 teaspoon
Method
1. Wash the brinjal.
2. Cut it lengthwise into 8 equal parts.
3. Scoop some of the brinjal pieces from the upside to make it flat.
4. Put them in a bowl of salty water.
5. Add all the ingredients of marination in a big bowl.
6. Prick the brinjal pieces using a fork.
7. Now, marinate the pieces for 15 minutes.
8. Deep fry the pieces in oil.
9. Now arrange the fried brinjal pieces in a greased baking dish.
10. Mix paneer, red chilli powder, salt, tomato, onion, green chilli, and chaat masala in a bowl.
11. Apply this paneer mixture on the brinjal pieces.
12. Put some shredded cheese over the paneer.
13. Now, bake the dish in a preheated oven till the cheese melts.
14. Serve hot.
